The British design company Dare Studio, headquartered in Brighton, is an award winning manufacturer of contemporary furniture and lighting products for luxury domestic interiors and high specification contract environments. Established by Sean Dare in 2009, Dare Studio is a family run business championing the skills of the finest craftsmen and setting a benchmark for the very best in contemporary design furnishings. All pieces are hand made to order with an acute attention to detail.



Dare Studio uses a combination of sophisticated techniques and the finest, carefully selected materials making each and every piece special, something the company is very proud of. Dare Studio offers bespoke flexibility throughout its range and exclusive collections, allowing all pieces to be tailored to the exact requirements of our customer.

All pieces by Dare Studio can be modified to accommodate the customer's specific requirements: dimensions, timbers, colours and finishes. The company also provides a complete design and manufacture service for special commissions resulting in unique, beautifully crafted pieces truly personal to the final customer.



From the initial brief all concepts for discussion and development are prepared. Once the final concept has been approved, Dare Studio produces the technical drawings using advanced CAD software. The technical drawings are then passed onto the company's highly skilled craftsmen who will manufacture every single piece to the highest standards. To ensure that the customer is fully engaged throughout the entire process, from concept to completion of a very special piece of furniture, Dare Studio is maintaining direct contact with the commissioner at all stages.

Dare Studio have always pro-actively considered the environment and the potential impact on the natural
surroundings. The care which the company puts into furniture design and manufacture is reflected in the way which the entire company approaches its role in environmental issues. One key factor for environmental success is the local manufacturing base in Brighton. Another important aspect is that Dare Studio is only producing products on a made to order basis, which helps keeping the carbon footprint to a minimum.



All products by Dare Studio are designed to be simple and produced with very few materials. They are predominantly manufactured and assembled by hand, which means they can be easily disassembled, repaired and re-furbished if required. Dare Studio are proud to use only the FSC certified hardwoods and
are activelly supporting the Million Tree Campaign.
