Sixinch

Sixinch was founded in Belgium in 2003 by Pieter Jamart and Michel Sels to offer ‘wow factor’ furniture design and manufacturing. Michel was running his retail interior design company - ALL shop - while Pieter was working on the concept of coating furniture in a man-made material to achieve a durable, consistent and seamless finish.Pieter approached Michel to develop the concept of foamcoating after initial market research showed that architects were very interested in the unlimited design possibilities it presented. The pair combined their technical expertise and passion for groundbreaking design - and Sixinch was born. In its first five years, Sixinch rapidly expanded and entered the international market. Along with its founding factory in Belgium, the company also manufactures in Portugal and Japan. There are now 15 sixinch showrooms across the world.
