HEY-SIGN
Hey Sign is a German company founded in 1999 by two wool felt designers, Bernadette Ehmanns and Mathias Hey. The company has established an international reputation for traditional felt products like bags, storage boxes, and decorations as well as its products for the home, office, and public areas. One of Hey Sign's hallmarks is its attractive soundproofing products, with an extensive catalogue to meet all acoustic needs. Since its inception, the company has emphasised the excellent and certified quality of its raw materials, the best 100% virgin merino wool from Australia and New Zealand used to manufacture the products without any chemical treatment. Production, entirely carried out at the Meerbusch factory, is certified Made in Germany. Hey Sign has received numerous awards and certifications, both for individual products and for the company itself, such as the Woolmark brand from "The Woolmark Company", the "World Wool Award" in the Marketing & Promotion category, and the Oeko-Tex Standard 100.

Hey Sign sound insulation solutions

Good room acoustics are essential for comfort and concentration, especially in an office with many noise sources. Felt is an ideal material for ensuring good acoustic insulation, thanks to its sound-absorbing and sound-insulating properties. In addition, natural wool felt can be moulded into different shapes and dyed any colour, offering endless design possibilities. The Hey Sign catalogue provides a wide range of acoustic felt solutions, from wall panels and office partitions to panel curtains and hanging panels. The award-winning Wave modular partition collection consists of panels with an aluminium frame covered in wool felt arranged in waves to increase sound absorption and soundproofing properties. The simple and elegant pattern of vertical partitions and the wide choice of colours make this collection suitable for any context and requirement. Wave is a genuine furnishing system consisting of infinitely extendable floor partitions, in two heights for the basic modules, in linear and curved versions. The collection is completed by Wave Square wall-mounted acoustic panels, made of 40x40 cm square modules; Wave Extendible, a free-standing acoustic panel in rectangular modules; the free-standing desk acoustic panel and wall-mounted acoustic panels in different-sized rectangular modules. Winner of the 2018 German Design Award, the Relief wall-mounted acoustic panel system combines high technical performance with customisable design. The 40x40 cm square two-tone panels are decorated with circular segments in various sizes, in relief or embossed. This simple yet ingenious idea makes it possible to create endless graphic patterns for walls in offices, waiting rooms, conference rooms and reception areas.

Hey Sign felt furnishing accessories and objects

The applications of felt are almost endless. This is evidenced by the wide range of Hey Sign furnishing accessories and gift items, from table accessories to containers, lamps, cushions, and furnishing elements like poufs. Hey Sign created two pouf collections that convinced the German Design Award jury in 2018 and again in 2020. The first collection is called Enno, whose elliptical design gives it extraordinary lightness. The slightly curved base transforms the ottoman, available in 45 colours, into a comfortable rocking chair. The Diamond pouf has a distinctive octagonal shape. Its flat base also makes it suitable as a side table. The Hey-Light pendant luminaire series, which won the 2014 Interior Innovation Award, is characterised by a simple cone shape and a felt outer covering that comes in 45 different colours. The Zipp rug, designed by Ralf Bertram, comprises several segments joined together by a zip-shaped joint - a simple but ingenious idea that won the Innovation Award in 2006. Available in rectangular and round versions, it comes in a choice of two colour combinations. Phenomenal felt placemat and coaster sets are available in 9 sizes in square, round and square with rounded corner versions. Tributes to the most celebrated icons of design, the felt chair cushions come in shapes that can adapt to chairs like Tolix, Louis Ghost, or Eames and Jacobsen chairs.
