THELERMONT HUPTON

Thelermont Hupton is the collaboration of Yve Thelermont and David Hupton. After years working successfully in disciplines far removed from design we independently trained in fine cabinet making. Sparked by our interest in the detail of construction and problem solving, we further pursued the study of furniture and product design which is where we met and began creating together. Since that time we have approached our design projects as a partnership in which ideas and solutions are negotiated to deliver the best possible outcome and as a result, we have built up a reputation for products with distinct purpose and identity. While our process remains firmly on creating and maintaining a strong visual presence it accommodates the essentials of functionality and comfort demanded by both the domestic and contract market. Our dialogue with form, arrangement and materials allows us to distribute our diverse and uniquely Thelermont Hupton design worldwide. We work with interior designers, architects and fashion brands for projects in clubs, bars, hotels, offices and schools while our products are sold through a network of dedicated design-led shops and some of the most prestigious retailers. Since 2004 our creative energies have allowed us to develop and market a collection of objects in a wide range of media. We manufacture to the highest standard and use skilled local craftsmen to produce our furniture. The majority of our products are made in the UK and Europe with additional manufacture in the Far East. Our designs have been nominated for and won awards, museums and galleries have exhibited our work and we have been supported by the international press.
