French architect living in Tokyo since 1996, she established “emmanuelle moureaux architecture + design” in 2003. Inspired by the Japanese traditional sliding screens, Emmanuelle has created the concept of "Shikiri", which literally means "dividing (creating) space with colors" in English. Architecture , interior, furniture, products, she designs a wide range of projects, by using her unique technique of colour scheming and handling colours as space makers. She won multiple awards, as "Tokyo Design Tide Best Installation Award" in 2005, "Best Store of The Year" in 2007 and 2008, the Honk-Kong Perspective magazine’s special feature "40 under 40" in 2007 , "CS Design Prize" in 2009, "International Architecture Awards" , "Hong-Kong Perspective Award" et two "Design for Asia Silver Award" in 2011. Member of the "Tokyo Society of Architects" and the "Architectural Institute of Japan". Associate Professor at the “Tohoku University of Art & Design” since 2008.
