IHIMER

IHIMER was formed in 2002 through a joint-venture agreement between IHI Construction Machinery Limited, which is controlled by the Japanese colossus IHI Corporation and the Italian IMER Group, a leading European manufacturer of concrete plants and machinery for the construction industry, after a period of commercial and industrial co-operation dating back to 1989. Inspired by the mission of "contributing to the development of society through technology" IHI Corporation was founded more than 150 years ago in 1853, it is a leading company at international level, in a vast range of sectors: including energy, space exploration, jet engines, environmental and civil protection, materials handling equipment, construction of steel bridges and other structures, construction machinery, industrial machinery, semi-conductors, equipment for LCD screens, shipbuilding and port equipment. IMER Group was established in 1962 with the production of concrete truck mixer, concrete manufacturing plants, elevators, self-propelled aerial platforms and other equipment and machinery used in the construction industry. Over the years, a dynamic combination of commercial, entrepreneurial and distribution synergies were established, which led Imer to develop sales networks in many foreign markets, as well as the creation of Imer branches and subsidiary and associated companies, worldwide.
