New Designers is celebrating its 30th birthday with an event you definitely won’t want to miss.
Every year over 3,000 up-and-coming talents from Britain’s leading design courses exhibit their creations: from textiles and jewellery to design products and artwork. The event also offers visitors the chance to purchase products, to recruit new talent, and to discover fresh, new, and inspiring ideas!
It all takes place in the Business Design Centre in London, where innovation and creativity are put on show across all sectors. Each edition features brand-new content and this year will be no exception. Check out some of the highlights of this year’s event:
One Year On
One Year On, a curated section within New Designers, presents a selected group of sixty emerging designers with an outstanding collection of work. All are one year into their business and the works are available for sale and commission. This year’s One Year On is curated by Rheanna Lingham, owner and cofounder of Luna & Curious.
Awards Preview Evenings
Wed 24 June & 01 July
Purchase a Preview ticket or VIP pass and come and enjoy these prestigious open evenings. Supported by Absolut, both evenings host a series of industry sponsored Awards presented to the most exciting designers selected from the 2015 show.
Thursday Lates
Thurs 25 June & 02 July
New Designers stays open until 8pm for you to explore the best of emerging design talent whilst enjoying special events. Absolut will present a guest industry panel in Part 1, whilst the Knowledge Transfer Network will create a unique networking evening event in Part 2.
Talks
Offering invaluable advice and support to anyone in the creative sector, these daily talks include contributors such as John Lewis, Pentland, The Design Trust and Knowledge Transfer Network. Free to attend with a valid admission ticket.
