This is the latest in the world of “capsule hotels” and like most of the others, it is also in the Far East. It is the Pod Hotel in Singapore, designed by formwerkz. The hotel consists of 83 comfortable 'modules' (or better capsules) inspired by a modern and minimalist style, characterized by comfort and quality.
Each POD has a personal reading light, a folding table, coat hangers and electrical outlets for personal use.
The “rooms” are semi-private and look like slots in the walls and can be accessed from the front or the side. To get a little privacy the only solution is to lower a curtain (!) because there is no door or spatial division.
For reasons of security, the compartments for valuables are under beds and shoe lockers are in the main space.
