Green Furniture Award to find the best eco furniture ideas

COMPETITION _ Green Furniture Sweden has launched the new edition of Green Furniture Award, to find the best eco design furniture ideas to highlight these and have them produced. 

The Jury has a mix from authorities in sustainable design and the furniture industry. Green Furniture Sweden has put six of the contributions from 2009 to 2012 into production: Fiction bookshelf (2009) by Johanna Landin , Leaf Lamp (2010) by Peter Schumacher , BlockShelf (2010) by Amy Hunting , Sheep bench (2010) by Rimgaile Samsonite , T-shirt Chair (2011) by Maria Westerberg , and Jar Lamp (2012) by Jan Lampei , and three of them has developed into product series currently sold by Green Furniture Sweden AB.

The Green Furniture Award 2014 consists of the following prizes:
A first prize of 100 000 SEK (approx. 11 500 Euro)
A second prize of 60 000 SEK (approx. 7 000 Euro)
A third prize of 40 000 SEK (approx. 4 600 Euro)

The Official Award ceremony has been held at the Stockholm Furniture Fair in the beginning of February each year and the finalist will be present at the Milano Design Week in cooperation with Cappellini.

Participants shall pay a registration fee of 200 SEK / 25 € by November 15, 2013Your contribution should be sent to [email protected] with a maximum file size of 10 MB.

Any design that is not in production may participate. Green Furniture Sweden have the intention to produce one or more of the winning contributions – our collection is in large becoming a Green winner’s collection.The winners of the award shall have created products with Outstanding Sustainable Design. The furniture should be possible to produce in an effective way and with reasonable investments.
