Highlights of the second day of awards included Wilkinson Eyre Architects's new leisure centre in Worthing Uk, the Splashpoint Leisure Centre, Perkins+Will's largest LEED® Gold-NC certified hospital in the world, the Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, which is part of a campus-wide transformation project also including an orthopaedic building and a parking structure and new loading and delivery system.
UK architects Allford Hall Monaghan Morris received their second award like Wilkinson Eyre for their White Collar Factory in the Future Projects Experimental category. This building, in the emerging "Tech City" in the heart of London, will feature big spans, flexible floor plates, windows that open, large volumes and robust construction.
