Cristalplant Design Contest, at its fifth edition, is promoted by Cristalplant in collaboration with Falper, famous Italian design brand, with the aim of selecting innovative projects which adopt Cristalplant as base material. The contest is open to young designers born after 1st January 1973 who may present one or more projects under the two categories project for bathroom area and project for outdoor bathroom area. The areas must be adaptable both for residential and for hotel purposes. Project renderings must be uploaded on www.cristalplant.it by 8th February 2013. The prize-giving ceremony on 10th April 2013, shall take place during the 52nd edition of Salone del Mobile in Milan,within Fuorisalone.
The jury shall select a winning project and a maximum of five special mentions for each category. The decision of the jury shall be final. The winning projects shall be included in the catalogue of the prestigious Falper company and the prototypes exposed at Fuorisalone. The competition counts with a prestigious giury composed by personality as Valerio Castelli, founder of Modo magazine, Domus Academy, one of the most famous post university school of design, and the cultural hub Design Library and Luisa Bocchietto president of ADI (Industrial design association).
Last years winners have been Manuela Busetti, Andrea Garutie and Matteo Redaelli with Verve table and the Japanese designer Kensaku Oshiro with the coffee table Charlie.
