A residential complex consisting of seven suspended modular units has just been completed by Luís Rebelo de Andrade and Diogo Aguiar: it is the new Eco Resort in the Pedras Salgadas park in Portugal.
The seven units, fitting perfectly into the natural surroundings, have been designed to be supported by pillars, combining a prefabricated modular system, made up of three blocks of living area, sleeping area and entrance/services, according to different arrangements.
The composition of volumes has been designed by the Portuguese architects so as to fill the gaps left by the trees, while the pitched roofs enliven the design of the residential complex within the park.
The choice of cladding the seven abodes with wooden planks alludes to the Portuguese tradition, according to local building techniques.
