Smart Village: the Edilportale and Made exhibition-conference

A rich program of conferences, special forums and meetings from 17th to 20th October

Just a week to go until Smart Village, the conference-exhibition organized by Edilportale and Made Expo, in collaboration with Agora, dedicated to energy efficiency, sustainability, contribution of plants to the design of low energy consumption buildings, the role of the building and networks in the Smart Cities of the future.

At the same times as Made Expo 2012, from October 17th to 20th, in an area of over 2,000 square meters inside Hall 18, lane B-E, Smart Village will include a full program of events including conferences, special forums, presentations of new products, an exhibition of a travelling prototype passive house, designed and built by ZEPHIR - Zero Energy and Passive House Institute for Research.

Smart Village provides an opportunity for designers, businesses and institutions to exchange views, to elaborate on experiences and aspects of efficient construction: within the Smart Square and the Smart Forum there will be respectively 7 and 8 special forums, organized in collaboration with ENEA, UNCSAAL, FEDERLEGNO, GENOA CITY SMART and ENEL.

High profile speakers will delve into a number of technical and scientific issues including Smart Cities, energy retrofitting, Passive house, according to the schedule below:

17th October 2.30 pm | Designing and constructing nearly zero energy buildings

October 18th 10.30 am | Smart Cities and urban regeneration: the redevelopment of cities in a logic of sustainability

October 18th 2.30 pm | Incentives to relaunch the construction industry: restructuring (formerly 36% now 50 %), energy retrofitting (55% ), fifth energy account, non solar renewable energy

October 19th 10:30 am | The quality of materials, technologies and construction systems for “Nearly Zero Energy Buildings”

October 19th 2.30pm | The role of the façades and fixtures in energy saving in buildings: design and installation

October 20th 10.30pm | The contribution of plants and home automation to the sustainability of buildings

October 20th 2.30pm | Passivhaus National Conference

The speakers involved during the meetings also include industry experts like Norbert Lantschner, creator of the Agency Casaclima, Angela Barbanente, Councillor for Land Quality, Apulia Regional Government, Peter Gimelli, General Manager UNCSAAL; Virginia Bombelli, European Platform Smart Cities, Gaetano Fasano, Head of Public Buildings Energy Efficiency Department, ENEA - UTEE - ERT, Stefano Saglia, X Commission of the Italian Members of Parliament - Productive Activities, Trade and Tourism, Francesco Ferrante, XIII Commission of the Italian Senate - Territory, Environment and Environmental Heritage, Wolfgang Feist, Energieeffizientes, Bauen Uni Innsbruck (Austria) and Passivhaus Institut Darmstadt (Germany) Innsbruck (Austria), Francesco Nesi, Director ZEPHIR - Zero Energy and Passive House Institute for Research.

Each conference will be presented by a journalist/moderator and during the meeting and conference participants can “tweet” their own comments and questions on the website dedicated to the event thanks to special twitter hashtags, which will be selected to be answered at the end of debate.

Guests of the opening day are Italian Minister of the Environment Corrado Clini and Foreign Minister Giulio Maria Terzi.

Each participant in the conference will receive a Certificate of Participation useful for the training credits authorized by the individual professional rolls.
