100% Design is the UK’s leading and most visited contemporary design event. It was established in 1995 as the original interiors show and this, its 18th year, with its theme of future living, is set to be the most successful ever staged.

Over 18,000 visitors flocked to the event last year and this year, with former Deputy Director of the London Design Festival, William Knight at the helm, and the broad spectrum of new talent, fresh ideas and innovative design, 100% Design 2012 is set to remain the essential event to visit for the industry diary.

100% Design is Britain’s most influential contemporary interiors show and as it stands it is the UK’s largest gathering of architects and interior designers. This year, 100% Design has attracted an even bigger range of UK and international brands. Furthermore, dedicated group stands from countries ranging from France Korea, Chile ,Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria are being showcased, further establishing the diversity of 100% Design and additional exhibiting countries include Italy, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, and Holland.

This year the show has a completely new and renovated layout with Four New Shows each with its own dedicated section of the floor plan: 100% Interiors, 100% Kitchen & Bathrooms, 100% Office and 100% Eco Design & Build

The Eco Design and Build hub sponsored by Velux will contain a central space which plays host to a seminar programme involving some of the leading designers, inventors, architects and opinion formers from this sector; these learning-driven sessions will comprise discussions and presentations covering the issues of the day.

The Seminar Programme at 100% Design 2012, is presented as a distinctive and high profile event schedule within the show and the wider London Design Festival and will include an Architects question time and panel debates.

One of the more curious and maybe more interesting events is being organised by Roca and Artouride who are joining forces to provide free design and architecture bike tours between 100% Design at Earls Court and the Zaha Hadid-designed Roca London Gallery.

Jump on a bike and get pedalling. Let your guide take you for a tour of exciting architectural and historical sights including Lots Road Power Station, the Cremone Gardens and the famous Brompton Cemetery. You have to register first so get your cycling shorts on! Roca Architectural Bike Tour

Sunday during 100% Design was well‐known as consumer day and since the launch of LDF in 2003 the offer for visitors around London has grown. It is due to this development that the consumer day will now be combined and be held on Saturday.

Saul Leese, marketing manager for the revamped event, has overseen a 10% increase in participating exhibitors at a time when other events have seen dwindling numbers. He puts it down to “Stronger partnerships with leading magazines and recognition for design bloggers” and “a well planned and executed social media campaign.” Archilovers and Archiproducts are media partners of the event.
