New York based emerging concept designer Daniel Gregory Natale unveils his latest collection with various architectural influences. The collection was inspired by the city of Berlin, its history and architecture. Daniel Gregory Natale was receiving architectural training prior to pursuing fashion design. He was originaly inspired by the Brutalist Architecture movement and wanted to incorporate elements of his architectural roots into the clothes. Daniel began to explore fabric treatments and techniques deriving from physical elements of architecture and urban construction. He also experimented using concrete and liquid vinyl as a coating on fabrics to evoke a sense of wearing the urban environment. Additionally, some garments forgo using thread as a construction method and instead utilize nuts and bolts as a means to hold fabric together in a way that is similar to urban construction.”
