SÓHA CONCEPT
SÓHA is a conceptual brand of kitchen utensils, art-objects, furniture and decoration in the esthetics of the Russian North launched by the artist Denis Milovanov and his producer Alice Bourmistrova in 2015.

Simple in form, made of oak, walnut and ceramics, SÓHA Concept pieces are plain, brutal and almost eternal. Each piece is crafted by hand with the inspiration coming from laconic beauty of wooden architecture and the Russian North lifestyle.

The idea of the brand SÓHA Concept is revealed in three directions.
The line of kitchen utensils includes exclusive products of wood and ceramics, trays and cutting boards for home and restaurants. In December 2015 was launched a collection of the most popular cutting boards - SIVER by SÓHA.

The second direction is the line of decor and interior design objects: furniture, wall panels, bowls and decorative boards that could create an atmosphere and style to any space. They combine everyday practicality and the uniqueness of the author's work.

Art objects of small forms, single pieces of decoration and interior design form are a third SÓHA Concept line that can only be found in galleries and concept showrooms.

INSPIRATION AND TECHOLOGY

Following the values of traditional and avant-garde art SÓHA Concept pieces remain very contemporary whilst giving a special feel of aincient Russian North.

Revived by Denis Milovanov, the ancient russian tradition of boiling wood in linseed oil gives the material a special finish, emphasizing its texture and protecting it from adverse external influences. A whole set of deep and natural shades, from light-brown to coal-black, can be obtained by chemical reaction under high temperature between oil and tannins contained in wood.
Patterns are applied solely by chain saw.
Ceramics are made of red clay which is fired in wood-burning stoves. The fanciful patterns appear due to the reaction of the heat and salt in the course of firing.

Severe beauty of landscapes, endless plains, turned black from time log huts and modest life of north people find expression in huge smart forms, minimalism and a monochrome color palette.

EXIBITIONS

The SÓHA Concept brand successfully debuted at Maison&Objet Paris in the categories "rare art" and "Haute Couture interiors" in 2015 and 2016.

In December of 2015 the brand was the soloist at the exhibition II BLACK SHOW in a Chicago gallery PAVILION ANTIQUES AND 20th CENTURY DESIGN, where it received a high estimation of experts of the art industry.
