Rosario Hurtado was born in Madrid in 1966. She coursed studies in Economics at Alcala de Henares University in Madrid, before moving to London in 1989. She studied Cabinet Making at the London College of Furniture and completed her BA in Industrial Design at Kingston University. Since 1999 she is a principal lecturer at the Design Department of Goldsmiths University in London and co-directs Platform 8 at Design Products, Royal College of Art since 2009. She has been Guest Professor at HfBK in Hamburg, and is currently a Visiting Porfessor in Space and Communication at HEAD Geneva.
