Riccardo Rocchi
Riccardo Rocchi was born in Milan in 1956, and soon decided that design would be his path. He graduated in Architecture from Milan Polytechnic in 1980, and at the same time decided to deepen and broaden his knowledge by attending the "Interior Architecture Studies" course at the IED in Milan, which enabled him to understand how to do Architecture within an environment. After finishing his studies, he offered himself as an apprentice, as he had no friends or family to learn from in the field. Bellini, Magistretti, Gio Ponti, Luigi Caccia Dominioni are just some of the names of the masters from whom he learnt everything during the first years of his career. He later identified with the work of Frank O. Ghery and his ability to mould metal and materials as if they were paper, transforming them into dreamlike architectures. In short, the embodiment of the motto by which all architects should be inspired, for better or worse: nothing is impossible. It was 1983 when he set up on his own and opened STUDIO ROCCHI ARCHITETTURA MILANO.
