Czech designer Radek Hegmon (b. 1970) graduated from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, with a major in product design. He is another co-founder of mmcité, and is behind a host of award-winning street furniture products. “I am incapabale of charging straight ahead with my first solution. I want the assurance that I have exhausted all possible alternative ideas and methods. Not just in terms of forms, but colours and materials too. These give products their emotive qualities.” Today his design activity is connected with the Egoé brand, which produces outdoor furniture, and mmcité+, focused on steel structures in the field of transportation, particularly rail, bus and airport terminals and tramways. Since 2018, the mmcité brand has been solely led by David Karásek.
