Descrizione dell'edificio: La simmetria bilaterale è dominante , tipica di una pianta palladiana. Passando all’analisi di piante, prospetti e sezioni, è evidente che lo spazio interno è organizzato come spazio multifunzione, utile sia per un uso domestico che per un uso pubblico. L’organizzazione degli spazi non è del tutto funzionale ma estremamente ordinata. Inoltre è stato quasi immediato accorgersi che i disegni spesso non corrispondono tra loro, supponendo che si tratti della volontà dell’architetto di far conoscere il più possibile nel minor numero di rappresentazioni. Il ridisegno è stato eseguito in toise, l’unità di misura francese utilizzata da Ledoux stesso per rappresentare l’edificio. Il toise (equivalente a “braccio”, nella lingua francese) è un’ unità di misura della lunghezza, di superficie e di volume originaria della Francia pre-rivoluzionaria e, sfruttando le diverse conversioni in scala metrica subite nel tempo, si può affermare che: 1 toise = 1,949 metri 1 toise = 6 piedi 1 piede = 0,30 metri Lo studio del progetto è stato eseguito con l’intento di comunicare graficamente i principi regolatori, i contenuti, i valori e la qualità della suddetta architettura. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Description of the building: The bilateral simmetry is dominating in the project, typical of a Palladian plant. Through the analysis of plants, prospects and sections, we can notice the interior space is thought as multifunctional, useful for a public or private building. The study of the plant reveal an extremely researched order, according to predominant simmetrical axes, which concern a fundamental theme for the whole building. One of the problems seen during this work is the non - correspondance between the original drawings of Ledoux. Supposing that there so-called "errors" were intentional, we can figure out the will of Ledoux by try to transmit as many informations as he can in the minorest number of drawings for the construction workers. Always speaking of the original drawings, they were drawn in "toises" ("arms" in english), below a useful convertion i have used: 1 toise = 1,949 meters 1 toise = 6 feet The building was a "dogana" point before entering in the Paris territory, but it had still a short life and it has been destroyed after a few years.
