A contemporary extension was required to connect the rear of the house to the yard opening to light and nature. Keeping warmth and connection to the existing house, materials sympathetic to the original character were used and a transparent arrangement so the original roof form and house shape were visual at all times. Use of contemporary materials used to bring an easy life style into the family fold.
