The new clinic for psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy is situated in exposed situation at the lake of Bad Segeberg. Special attention was made to the compliance of architecture and therapeutical concept. The building consists of an Eastern and a Western wing, which are forming an inner courtyard and are joined by a rotunda. On five floors the tower houses rooms for therapy, group activities and lounges. The holistic concept of recreative ambiance and psychotherapy is situated within attractive surroundings of the near lake. The energy concept is sustainable. Block heating works enables with regard to the consumption an energy gain of 300-600 MW/h. A gas generator produces electricity; the resulting heat is used for hot water. The outer ALUCOBOND® envelope of the building supports the energy concept. In addition the rear ventilation protects against moss and conveys a modern image to the complex.
