Rediscovering Tirana

The project consists in the study of a specific part of the city of Tirana. This part constitutes the heart of the old city, which was characterized by an ottoman urban. The aim of the project is to give a new economic a cultural value to the area and offer the necessary to support a new development of the zone and increase the quality of life. Our concept of intervention consists safeguard the architectural and urban values of the zone and the revitalization of old city pattern. Fragments of the old pattern are rediscovered and reconnect with each other. All the pedestrian walkway takes new economic and commercial value. It starts from the old center of Tirana, the Bazaar, and close to a new cultural and historical pole where will be a cultural center for the area and a museum about the history of the city.
