Tempo prezioso / Precious time

Le nostalgiche colline di Leopardi si trovano ad una settantina di chilometri di distanza, ma il grande poeta avrebbe potuto scrivere le sue meraviglie anche scrutando questo paesaggio, con il mare che brilla in uno scorcio mozzafiato. Riparato sotto una mezza collina, con una strada sterrata che da sola assorbe come un ricordo il mondo moderno, quello che fino al 2007 era un edificio agricolo diroccato è stato trasformato in un delizioso casolare. A scegliere questo luogo, molto tempo fa, sono state mani ruvide ed esperte, capaci di individuare un terreno fertile, lontano dalla grande viabilità, esposto al sole e caratterizzato da temperature miti. Solo dopo un’attenta valutazione, durata anni - come solo un tempo ci si concedeva - è stato realizzato questo insediamento agricolo, abbandonato nel corso del Novecento. A farlo rivivere, un noto professionista romano di origini marchigiane, che veniva da anni con la famiglia (composta dalla moglie e da due figlie ormai grandi) in villeggiatura a Grottammare. Finché l’abitudine è diventata affetto ed ha deciso che proprio qui, in località Colle delle Quaglie, avrebbe realizzato la sua abitazione principale. L’architetto che ha seguito il progetto è l’amico Sandro Mariani. Tre gli anni necessari, “tra pensieri, parole ed immagini”, a rendere abitabile la struttura, ultimata nel 2011. «Essendo una casa agricola abbandonata era possibile recuperare solo le volumetrie esistenti» spiega l’architetto. «Un lavoro complesso ed articolato visto che il proprietario ha voluto che tutto fosse costruito con materiale di recupero, al di là della struttura portante». Dai pavimenti alle travature, dal tetto ai rivestimenti, il materiale proviene quindi da precedenti costruzioni, con tutta la fatica che necessita un recupero attento e l’adattamento ai nuovi spazi. Dal patio anteriore si accede al piano terra, un grande spazio aperto in cui si trovano il soggiorno e la cucina. Luoghi conviviali, molto vissuti dai proprietari della casa che amano circondarsi di amici e familiari. Salendo le scale ecco il loggiato che ospita le camere da letto. Tutto il primo piano, di circa cento metri quadrati, è rivestito in rovere piallato: un pavimento prezioso, creato con un trattamento molto leggero che valorizza le tonalità originali dell’essenza, le sue sfumature e i segni del tempo. «Questa scelta non è perfettamente confacente alla storia marchigiana» spiega Mariani. «Perché tradizionalmente i nostri pavimenti sono di terracotta. Nelle parti nobiliari, però, a volte si usavano tavolati in legno, caratteristica che ci ha permesso di effettuare questa eccezione. Il prodotto che meglio si prestava l’ho individuato in questo parquet di Fiemme 3000, irregolare e trattato a mano, che rende molto l’idea storica». Per quanto riguarda l’arredamento, è stata seguita la stessa filosofia: mobili antichi marchigiani in legno, anche verniciato, che si alternano a sedie e tavoli trovati in mercati e negozi d’antiquariato. Quasi nulla di nuovo, eccetto i grandi divani avorio. Nei bagni spuntano lavelli antichi, scavati nel marmo o nella pietra, avvolti da pareti rivestite di ceramiche smaltate su un biscotto di terracotta, di colori tenui che ricordano l’acqua in un delizioso effetto “nuvolato”. Della stessa tonalità sono stati dipinti anche i legni delle porte e delle finestre, fedeli alle tradizioni locali che li ha visti sempre in sintonia con il paesaggio. Completa questo bucolico quadro una grande piscina esterna a sfioro, che sembra quasi volersi ricongiungere con il mare. The nostalgic hills of Leopardi are about seventy miles far away, but the great poet could have written his wonders also scrutinizing this landscape , with the sea that shines in a breathtaking glimpse. Sheltered beneath a hillside , with a dirt road which alone absorbs as a reminder of the modern world , the one that up to 2007 was a dilapidated farm building has been converted into a charming cottage. To choose this place, long ago, have been rough and experienced hands, able to find a fertile ground , away from busy roads , sunny and temperate climate . Only after careful consideration, lasted for years - just as onlytime ago it was allowed - was made this agricultural settlement , abandoned in the course of the twentieth century. To live again, the owner, who was for years with the family (made by his wife and two daughters now grown ) on holiday in Grottammare. As long as the habit has become affection and decided that here , in the village of Colle delle Quaglie, he realized then his principal residence. The architect who has followed the project is the friend Sandro Mariani . Three years are necessary , " between thoughts, words and images," to make a living structure , completed in 2011. " Being an abandoned farm house it was possible to retrieve only the existing volumes ," explains the architect . "A complex and articulated work as given that the owner wanted everything to be built with recycled materials , beyond the supporting structure ." From flooring to trusses , roof coatings , the material comes then from the previous constructions , with all the hard work that requires a recovery , adapting to new spaces. From the front patio leads to the ground floor, a large open space can be found in the living room and the kitchen. Convivial places , very experienced by the owners of the house who like to surround themselves with friends and family. Going up the stairs here the gallery that houses the bedrooms. All the first floor , of about one hundred square meters, is covered by oak planed : a precious floor , created with a very light treatment that enhances the original shades of the essence , its nuances and signs of time . "This choice is not perfectly suited to the history of Marche " says Mariani . "Because traditionally our floors were made by terracotta. In noble parts, however, sometimes they used wooden planks , a characteristic that has allowed us to make this exception. The product that best lent itself for this purpose was a parquet from Fiemme in 3000 , irregular and treated by hand, which represent itself the original idea of history". As for the decor, it was followed the same philosophy : antique furniture in wood, also painted , alternating with chairs and tables found in markets and antique shops. Almost nothing new, except the large ivory sofas. In the bathroom ancient sinks stand out , carved into marble or stone , wrapped paneled walls of glazed pottery on a biscuit terracotta nuance , soft colors reminiscent of the water in a delightful effect " cloudy ." In the same tone were also painted the doors and the windows, faithful to the traditions that saw them always harmony with the landscape. Complete this bucolic painting a large outdoor infinity pool that seems to want to reconnect with the sea.
