Tutti giù per terra / We all fall down

Appena entrati sembra di essere in un paese del Nord Europa , dove gli asili sono progettati e realizzati a misura di bambino, con tanto legno e materiali naturali che danno un sapore completamente diverso al luogo in cui lasciamo solitamente i nostri figli durante il giorno. Siamo invece a Besenello, a pochi chilometri da Trento, dove un’amministrazione comunale capace ha saputo trasformare un progetto standard, legato ad esigenze di contenimento dei costi, in un gioiellino che ospita un centinaio di bambini e che sa di buono, di sano, di serenità. I lavori sono iniziati nel 2008, non lontano dalla struttura precedente , oramai inadeguata sia per numero di posti disponibili che per collocazione. Le sezioni previste sono 5, per un massimo di 126 bambini. Al momento l’asilo ne ospita poco meno di cento: un numero statisticamente sopra la media, considerati i circa 3000 abitanti del comune, e imputabile alla forte espansione urbanistica che negli ultimi anni ha caratterizzato il paese, ove si sono stabilite molte giovani coppie. Nella struttura il legno svolge un ruolo importante e caratterizzante anche nelle finiture interne: 200 metri quadrati di rovere nella sala polifunzionale, 70 mq di parquet per ognuna delle 5 classi, 80 metri nell’aula sonno del primo piano. La svolta “green” del progetto è stata possibile grazie alle capacità professionali di Massimo Cont, direttore lavori e responsabile della sicurezza della nuova struttura, che ha redatto in tre diverse varianti. “L’impostazione iniziale era standard anche perché nel 2004 , quando la progettazione è iniziata , non erano ancora consolidati gli approcci basati sul risparmio energetico. Appena iniziati i lavori ho puntato a trasformare la struttura in Casa Clima B ed ora siamo già in fase di certificazione.” Gli spessori dei pacchetti isolanti sono stati aumentati, l’interrato isolato, le vetrate modificate ed è stato deciso di non costruire la centrale termica indipendente, dato che ci si poteva collegare a quella della vicina palestra dando vita ad una piccola rete di teleriscaldamento. Sono stati inoltre montati parecchi metri quadrati di pannelli solari termici. Ogni aula ha il proprio legno: il rovere, l’olmo, il faggio, il frassino, l’acero, per quella meno luminosa, e il larice. “Ho scelto legnami europei , volevo che ci fossero le essenze dei boschi trentini, perché credo sia interessante far conoscere ai bambini il legno dei nostri alberi”.La scelta è ricaduta su Fiemme 3000 perché si è voluto utilizzare materiali il più possibile naturali. “ E più precisamente quelli che non derivano da un processo di sintesi industriale. Come isolanti abbiamo utilizzato il vetro cellulare espanso, la fibra di legno e il sughero; neppure un milligrammo di polimeri plastici”. Un’opera tanto attenta dal punto di vista concettuale quanto impegnativa: vedere però i bimbi giocare felici a piedi nudi sul legno ripaga di tanto impegno. " The initial purpose was standard also because in 2004 , when planning began , it weren’t not yet established the approaches based on energy savings . As soon as the works started I aimed in transforming the structure in B House Climate and now we are already in the process of certification. " The thickness of the insulating packages have been increased , the isolated basement , the windows changed and it was decided not to build a thermal power plant independent , since there could be connected to that of the nearby gym , giving life to a small district heating network. They were also mounted several square meters of solar thermal panels . Each classroom has its own wood : oak, elm, beech, ash , maple , for the less light , and larch. "I chose European wood,I wanted to be in there the essences of the forests of Trentino , because I think it is interesting to introduce children to the wood of our trees ."The choice fell on Fiemme 3000 because we wanted to use natural materials as much as possible . " And more specifically those that do not derive from a process of industrial synthesis. As we used the cellular glass insulation foam , fiber and wood fiber, not even one milligram of polymer plastics . " Much careful work by the conceptual point of view as challenging : see , however, the happy children playing barefoot on the wood makes up for so much effort .
