Stronachs

Another superb installation by HANDS took place recently for Legal practice Stronachs, based in Aberdeen, Scotland. The client wanted an impressive statement piece boardroom table that could be demounted and stored away, allowing seminar meetings to take place in their main conference room. Stronachs made it clear that conventional modular tables offered by other manufacturers, looked too generic and lacked a uniform effect when placed together. Therefore, HANDS tailored their Orion table system creating an exclusive, yet flexible table solution that was further complemented by Orion soft swivel seating to give a uniformity of design. The scheme was created in a combination of American black walnut veneer from a unique log (specially selected by the client themselves) with chrome frames, high quality Scottish hide and black line inlay. HANDS also designed a compact and elegant media wall which cleverly packaged the clients’ requirements for a multimedia state of the art solution incorporating AV technology, providing a dynamic central focal point. The unit also incorporated soft white LED backlighting giving the unit a floating effect within the room. The HANDS design of the boardroom set the template for the rest of the scheme providing solutions for static support meeting rooms in the same style as the boardroom furniture. The reception and waiting areas were also designed and manufactured by HANDS. The sofas and soft seating were from the beautifully upholstered Connect range, highlighting a brushed aluminium inlay detail. They worked well in conjunction with the contemporary design of the reception desk which incorporated a variety of materials including: American black walnut, white back painted glass and white laminate. The finishing touch was created by soft white LED lighting giving a contemporary aesthetic and also retaining a synergy with the original architecture of the premises.
