The ruins of the pre-existence were consolidated within a cluster of a small village, which allowed the formal references if they could do it straight from the street and surrounding buildings.
Keeping deployment, built is suitable for new technical and functional needs, always with a consciousness of maintaining harmonious relationship with the environment, following the cércea of neighboring buildings and assuming the image of a cluster of typical buildings of this type. When confronted with a river to the west, the new volumetric sees it as public space, which leads to a similar facade treatment next spring direct relationship with the street. This treatment facade appears as an allusion to the lack of rule with regard to the opening of gaps in the construction of this rural village invaded by the city.
The current housing needs, led the internal spatial organization is made ​​differently from existing, adding a basement to the ground floor, first floor and attic. Access to housing is made by the nascent ground floor, going directly to the social space of the house.
In this project, environmental concerns are also present, either by the use of solar panels as a renewable source for water heating, as well as the use of materials from renewable sources and preferably with low thermal conductivity betting this way, a good insulation housing which minimizes the energy required for regular indoor temperatures.




As ruínas da pré-existência encontravam-se dentro de um aglomerado consolidado de uma pequena povoação, o que permitiu que as referências formais se pudessem fazer directamente a partir da rua e das construções envolventes.
Mantendo a implantação, o edificado é adequado às novas necessidades técnicas e funcionais, sempre com a consciência de manter a relação harmoniosa com a envolvente, acompanhando a cércea das construções vizinhas e assumindo a imagem das construções típicas de um aglomerado desta tipologia. Ao se confrontar com uma ribeira a poente, a nova volumetria encara-a como espaço público, o que leva a um tratamento de fachada semelhante ao lado nascente de relação directa com a rua. Esse tratamento de fachada surge como uma alusão à falta de regra no que diz respeito à abertura de vãos nas construções desta povoação rural invadida pela cidade.
As actuais necessidades habitacionais, levaram a que a organização espacial interna se fizesse de forma distinta da existente, acrescentando uma cave ao rés-do-chão, primeiro piso e sótão. O acesso à habitação faz-se a nascente pelo piso térreo, entrando-se directamente para o espaço social da habitação.
Neste projecto as preocupações ambientais também estão presentes, quer pelo uso de painéis solares como fonte renovável para aquecimento de águas, bem como pelo uso de materiais preferencialmente de origem renovável e com baixos índices de condutibilidade térmica, apostando desta forma, num bom isolamento da habitação o que minimiza a energia necessária para regular as temperaturas interiores.
