Woven Easy Series explores geometric lines and movement in furniture that create a sculptural look combined with functionality. The interwoven strings in the design illuminate the lines and heighten functionality or contribute to an overall atmosphere.

Woven Easy Chair A + B uses straight lines and angular planes in order to create a sense of movement within the chair’s form. The pattern is created by weaving waxed cord around an ash timber structure. The design is based on traditional weaving techniques reinterpreted with inspiration from Naum Gabo’s ‘Construction in Space’ works and straight line drawings. The geometric seating pattern was created by deconstructing traditional weaving methods and examining the relation between frame, cord and end user. After all, this is a functioning piece of furniture.
