The project consistently uses a number of distinguishing elements in keeping with the city’s architectural and town-planning characteristics. No multi-coloured blowups or advertising slogans, but large printed banners and three-dimensional installations in one colour, vermilion red, with an unfussy graphic design. A simple, coordinated image that goes well and blends with the metal elements, big austere yet dynamic structures painted the same vermilion red, that punctuate the nodal points in the city and along the Olympic routes.
