Flexible Modular shelving system for storage and display works well agains the wall or as free standing room divider. Visually appealing system featuring an array of lines and shapes in striking contrast in black and white colors expressing movement, rhythm, dynamics. Designer Jan Vacek has created a system that let user create endles shelving unit. Total length and hight derive from number of rows and colums built by . Lenght is based upon odd numbers of colums starting by 3, following by 5, 7, 9 etc. System´s grid is based on array of two different units composed of 3 elements with specific shape and function - shelf side, shelf bottom and X shaped specific hardware. Bookshelf requires assembly. X SYSTEM was awarded by RED DOT DESIGN AWARD as winner 2013 in Product design category. Unique concept convinced interantional jury searching for inovative design. Studio´s Kdomazidlibydli designer Jan Vacek and author of X SYSTEM design states „ As studio we are were proud to be awarded with RED DOT DESIGN AWARD, we see it this award as Oscar for achievement in design“ and then he continues „ we are motivated by it , we will continue and create new design ideas. For us this is a big step that will help us attract potential clients such as international furniture producers. X SYSTEM is only part of our large line of furniture design prototypes.
