On this site, MISIA Viviendas Avanzadas S.L. is developing a creative new building based on criteria of innovation, reliability, industrialised construction, sustainability, applying state-of-the-art energy technologies to offer innovative homes at a truly competitive price. The location of MISIA Eco-Building in Dénia, Alicante, with its high humidity and temperatures in the summer months, encouraged us to look for environmental balance, with a “green”-patio interior structure providing natural daylight even in the interior of the block, plus natural ventilation and agreeable surroundings for all homes. This building is thermally self-regulating and provides a comfortable, more natural environment in which to live, enhancing well-being, health and happiness amongst occupants. A system of reflective panels tilted towards the sun provides maximum solar radiation to patio interiors in winter and helps to offset heat in summer with an inverse shading effect. The building generates part of the electrical power it needs for maintenance, including general lighting in communal areas, by means of a series of photovoltaic capturing devices integrated in the landscaped rooftops facing north. It also generates all the sanitary hot water required by homes using a series of thermal capturing devices integrated in the landscaped rooftops facing south. The sculptural façades of the building were inspired by some of the most significant formal elements in the town (castle, fishing tradition, Mediterranean references). MISIA Eco-Building is a new model in building development that guarantees environmental balance, while fully satisfying the needs of occupants and increasing their well-being and happiness.
