EN The project for the headquarters of Pasha Bank in Tblisi is part of a historic building of the early nineteenth century, spread over six levels for an area of about 1200 square meters. The project idea was born from the desire to preserve the characteristics of the existing building to current bringing the old flavor of the nineteenth century banks . The intervention, in fact, sets new material elements of the project in harmonious contrast with the decorative structure of walls and ceilings exist without denying the spatial characteristics. The new layout offers a new spatial configuration looking for a dialogue between old and new. Even the selection of materials was driven by the same design philosophy: marble, stone and bronze, in fact, are in perfect harmony with the existing giving added value without changing the characteristics primordial. In addition to appearing as a journey through time the project is configured as a space journey that transports materials and finishes in Tbilisi Azerbaijani and Italian tradition.
Since Tbilisi is the first overseas branch of Bank in the project we wanted to put a sign of recognition of the place of origin. The wall behind the reception is, in fact, covered in sheets of Aglay, a stone from the city of Baku.
Our task was to redesign the interior of the existing building to suit the needs of the head office of the bank. The project has a clear definition of the routes and spaces. The elegance and style of Italian design combined with strong ties to the original building make the project complete in every respect. The materials chosen for the floors, carpet for offices and marble for entry and distribution spaces give the rooms elegantly creating a strong dialogue between the intervention and the old building.

IT Il progetto per la sede principale di Pasha Bank a Tblisi si colloca all’interno di un edificio storico dei primi anni dell‘ottocento si sviluppa su 6 livelli per una superficie di circa 1200 mq. L’idea progettuale è nata dalla volontà di preservare le caratteristiche dell’edificio esistente portando all’attualità il sapore antico delle banche ottocentesche. L’intervento, infatti, pone nuovi elementi materici di progetto in contrasto armonico con la struttura decorativa dei muri e dei soffitti esistenti senza negarne le caratteristiche spaziali. Il nuovo layout propone una nuova configurazione spaziale cercando un dialogo fra vecchio e nuovo. Anche la selezione dei materiali è stata pilotata dalla stessa filosofia progettuale: marmi, pietre e bronzo, infatti, sono in perfetta armonia con l’esistente donandogli valore aggiunto senza modificarne le caratteristiche primordiali. Oltre ad apparire come un viaggio nel tempo il progetto si configura anche come un viaggio nello spazio che trasporta a Tblisi materiali e finiture della tradizione Azera ed Italiana.
Poiché tblisi è la prima filiale all’estero di Pasha Bank nel progetto si è voluto inserire un segno di riconoscimento del luogo d’origine della Banca. La parete retrostante la reception è, infatti, rivestita in lastre di Aglay, una pietra proveniente dalla città di Baku.
Il nostro compito è stato quello di riprogettare gli interni dell’edificio già esistente per adattarlo alle esigenze della sede centrale della banca. L’intervento presenta una chiara definizione dei percorsi e degli spazi. L’eleganza e lo stile italiano unito ad una forte legame con l’edificio originario rendono il progetto completo sotto ogni aspetto. I materiali scelti per i pavimenti, moquette per gli uffici e marmo per l’ingresso e gli spazi di distribuzione donano agli ambienti eleganza creando un forte dialogo fra l’intervento e il vecchio edificio.
