Note di Luce Con questa struttura in acciaio e vetro ho cercato in qualche modo di rappresentare ciò che non è tangibile: La luce e le note musicali. Si sviluppa con una base in acciaio cava, la quale poggia a terra attraverso tubi metallici opportunamente posizionati lungo la sua lunghezza. I vetri ad essa agganciati sono collocati sulla parte superiore e inferiore della stessa i quali sono illuminati da un sistema a luci Led installati all'interno del tubolare, tra un vetro superiore e quello inferiore. Si può pensare alla base di appoggio bianca in acciaio come ad uno spartito e i vetri illuminati come a delle note. Tra un vetro e l'altro c'è una membrana a gel fotovoltaico, in grado quindi di assimilare l'energia della luce durante il giorno, la quale sarà utilizzata e rilasciata durante la notte per dar vita all'illuminazione dei vetri (ed eventualmente del suono) in questo modo sarebbe, almeno in parte, autosufficiente dal punto di vista energetico. I vetri avranno altezze variabili, oltre che per dare un certo movimento alla struttura è perchè nel loro insieme rappresentano la frequenza, l'altezza d'onda di una melodia. La forma di questa struttura mi è venuta in mente osservando la frequenza prodotta da Notturno n° 20 di Chopin (vedi foto) lungo le due fiancate laterali della base in acciaio, per tutta la lunghezza dello stesso, dovrà essere possibile aprire lateralmente questa base di appoggio per un controllo o sostituzione dei vari vetri, Led o altre parti interne che necessiterebbero di manutenzione. L'illuminazione dei vetri non dovrà dare una sensazione statica, risulteranno tutti illuminati, ma ogni vetro, pur essendo in posizione fissa poiché agganciato al telaio in acciaio, sarà la luce che passerà attraverso di esso a dare il movimento. Ogni vetro dovrà avere una sorta di effetto “Aurora boreale” cioè una ondulazione della luce, variando colori e intensità. Per immagazzinare una maggior quantità di energia i vetri a gel fotovoltaico che comporranno ogni modulo saranno da cinque o sei. Un numero maggiore di vetri quindi oltre a dare una maggior resistenza data l'altezza degli stessi, garantirà maggior stabilità in presenza di vento. Le linee rette chiare che sembrano tagliare la piazza e fanno da contrasto rispetto al resto della pavimentazione più scura, sono costituite da pietra chiara e luci Led incastonate nella pavimentazione, e sono le linee di unione delle stelle che compongono la costellazione.
