Competition_Moving to Growing: Reinventing the American Lawn. USA

This is a design competition for creating productive green spaces in cities. The project centres on the domestic scale, analyzing the habits of life and consumption of the American families, to give a sustainable solution to every problem. We propose the reutilization of the organic residues in the fertilizier for the gardens and orchards. There retraints the water of every home for re-use in the irrigation and in the other own uses of a house, besides providing each neihgbor with a structure totally customizable to create his own orchard or garden. ​ Se trata de un concurso sobre la creación de nuevos espacios verdes de producción en las ciudades.​ El proyecto se centra en la escala doméstica, analizando los hábitos de vida y consumo de las familias estadounidenses para dar una solución sostenible a cada problema. Se plantea la reutilización de los residuos orgánicos en forma de compostaje para los huertos y jardines. Se recicla el agua de cada hogar para reutilizarla en el riego y otros usos propios de una casa, además de dotar a cada vecino con una estructura totalmente personalizable para crear su propio huerto o jardín.
