Banc-Bou

"MI-BAMBOU" ,or how to design and Build for next generation! Or how to discover the many sources and resources of Bamboo! A Green and innovative project. The "banc-bou", designed by Isabelle M'bore will be the first furniture modular multi-functional, produced by the team of “MI-BAMBOU”. With the team , we'll try to provide a sustainable solution, simple and environmentally friendly with a new furniture ,it will be easy to mount. Since the 80's school furnitures (desk, bench, etc) have not changed in many central african countries (Gabon, Cameroun, Guinea Equatorial etc). There are standards, and playing with these standards, "banc-bou" was designed by Isabelle M'bore, Project Manager of “Mi-bambou” and designer! Low cost furniture with 70% bamboo, wood sipo, recycled materials: Quick to produce + Quick to mount + Modular + Adaptable + Lighter + Multi-roles Impact of its use: Better educational frame work + Improve confort + Affordable + Ecological "Banc-Bou" is created in response to the request of both partners, located in Gabon and Congo. it Must be able to allow managers to primary schools, to equip themselves with low cost furnitures (classrooms, cafeteria, library, offices, ...) In remote areas, many children still sit on the floor to learn! Sometimes only a few meters , there are natural bamboo, or dead wood, ... For the first phase, Bench-boo will be made with a local AAA (Farmers and Artisans Associates) to supply a primary school "Le petit train" located in Owendo (Gabon) , with desks and benches. 2014. For the second step, Isabelle M'bore ,volunteer work in collaboration with a local NGO, CERFI to feed a primary school in Kasongo (Congo).
