Design for a bespoke store display system for smashbox cosmetics. Smashbox Cosmetics is the indie-spirit beauty brand born out of Smashbox Studios, the modern-day image factory in Los Angeles. Drawing from the heritage of the brand (which was created to meet the need for make-up that would work best under studio conditions), a recognizable line of fixtures was developed for a global rollout program. As this store design was to be introduced into new markets it was important to establish a unique identity for Smashbox cosmetics that would create associations to the photo studio environment for customers who are not familiar with the brand. omni//form created a cost-effective prefabricated ready-to-ship modular system of standardized elements that can easily and quickly be assembled with few tools and no professional installation knowledge. The formats are suitable for multiple retail outlets ranging from display furniture over pop-up installations to complete retail store designs. The system provides the brand and retailer ultimate flexibility to change formats as the brand grows and business expands.
