Complexo de Atletismo "Prof. Oswaldo Terra da Silva"

The high-performance athletics training center was designed to become the largest center of excellence for athletics in South America, and one of the main concerns was to ensure that it respected all World Athletics (International Athletics Federation) and CBAt (Brazilian Athletics Confederation) standards.

Among the improvements to be achieved at the previous Volkswagen Club of São Bernardo are: the construction of a Class 1 level athletics track; a covered training and warm-up track, technical and training areas; the installation of seats and the covering of the grandstand; the implementation of a VIP area and press room, as well as a snack bar, toilets and other support areas for the public.

All the improvements make the High Performance Athletics Center one of the Olympic sub-hosts for teams wishing to acclimatize for the Rio 2016 Olympics.
