The E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center is the environmental educational component of the 53,000acre Nokuse Plantation conservation lands which connect 1 million acres ofprivate and public lands stretching from Pine Log State Forest to Eglin Air Force Base, Blackwater State Park and into the Conecuh State Forest in Alabama.The Plans for the center include a 150-seat theater, 5,000 square feet of interactive animal and nature exhibit space, separate classrooms for immersion learning with the local school districts, it will also have a resource center and a large amphitheater. The Biophilia Center will be the new home for the Destin based Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge. PROGRAM (TOTAL SF - 23,000) Exhibit Hall and Administration Offices –7000 SF Theater and Meeting Rooms –6500 SF Classroom and Lab Building –4750 SF Wildlife Rehabilitation Building– 4750 SF (designed but not built) USGBC, LEED Silver Certified 2010 Recipient of AIA TampaBay’s – H.
