The destruction of the castle left a gap within the urban design of the city. Our proposal - more like a backdrop - is a modern reflection of the baroque palace. The former wings are now two large rooms which connect the plaza in front of the castle with the castle garden. The building is adorned with colorful ribbons, based on the emblems of the castle, and a multi-colored light fills the interior space. The facade of the central building reflects the old castle winows onto the park. The window frames float freely between the beams and columns. The visitors inside the castle see the landscape as in a picture frame. On the other side, in the park, visitors can see a portrait of the people in the castle. An elevated level can be reached from stairs on both wings. Various uses are possible, such as a splendid ballroom in the summer, or a market or restaurant for the Festival. With the new setting, it is possible to give the yearly music festival a new yet very attractive space and circumvent all the problems associated with having the festival in a historically protected garden. The basement next to the palace is partially open and covered with accessible glass plates, giving the visitor an insight into the original structure of the castle.
