The Project consists of the execution of a HOME OFFICE for the Architect Winy Maas, to build on a plot of land with an approximate area of ​​2190 m2, in Praia da Rocha, Portimão. A housing / workshop, with the aim of replicating the methodology of work of the architect Winy Maas, besides trying to introduce, where possible, elements of the language contained in his work. How could it be, as the attitude of Winy Maas to the physical context of the environment for the project should be ignored, and the project should rather be the result of the response to several problems of its existence, among them: The steep, north exposure, obstruction of the building south, the lack of rule, the lack of parking ... The basic proposal starts with the application of some processes of methodical Winy Maas, among them: 1 Synthesis, 2 fragmentation 3 patios or outside support and 4 agglomeration. The end result is thus the agglomeration of three simple solids closing three spaces required for the program, the work space, the space and inhabit a protected use more intimate, all linked by a corridor in line, an intention to travel longitudinally. Each of these spaces must have a "support" level or abroad, because, following the work of Winy Maas, the concept of living, is not limited to shelter in a closed solid, but is rather a whole "urban planning" in of any project, in order to relate man to the environment, not as being dominant, but as an element. This way of respecting the void, or outer space, should be expressed as such, appears not only to open up different spaces patios, as the introduction of the subject should respect the natural soil, interfering minimally with regard to landscaping. Intent on the final composition of the project is that it must contain an expression synthesis bunch of simple volumes, rich protrusions, recesses, opacity and structural boldness. In order to approximate the grammar of the exterior facades projects Winy Maas, it was important to define vain, hence the demarcation of these frames in order to "separate wall plans.
