A complete remodel to an apartment in a conservation district. A new living room replaced a bedroom with an airwell, to allow better cross ventitlation and beter uasge of the airwell. the 3 bed room apartment was remodelled as a 2 + 1, providing 2 bedrooms, a study and a larger L- shape living room. the double aspect balcony was converted into an indoor dining room with an indoor min hanging garden. The feature was the kitchen. It was an open concept - indoor wet kitchen. Without windows or grills, with the provision of a back stair well, the kitchen was both well and naturally ventillated. there was no need for an kitchen hoods. if there was heavy rains, 2 sets of bamboo roller blinds helped to keep the weather at bay.
