One of my first projects during my study at the TU Eindhoven was to design a urban web pavillion in the centre of the city where people would like to come, especilally to drink tea. My design is placed in the centre of the 'Clause squire'. The plan is focused on the two things people like to do while drinking tea: to look and to be looked at while sharing the last gossip. Because of this all of the sitting-areas are faced towards the sqaure. The main functions as kitchen, technical space and toilets are placed at the side of the surrounded buildings. Because the (only) function the square had, was to function as a shortcut for pedestrians. Because I didn't wanted that to change, now the people can walk under the building. The interior is very clean and restrained itself. Because of this there will be a change for young designers from the design academy to show their furniture. The wall behind the bar is the only (except for the furniture) item with collor. It's really easy and cheap to die that wall in different collors every season to match the new furniture. This way you are able to create a total new interior with less effort every now and then.
