The cultural changes of society, urban densification and new architectural typologies introduced the car on a massive scale in China's cities, resulting in a chaotic traffic. Most buildings don't have parking and it is common to come across cars parked on the pedestrian path, green areas and recreational purposes. The architectural concepts of the parking project begins with from two formal principles. The first is the dynamic effect of the movement of automobiles, which is achieve through the valuation of the ramps in the form of double-helix solution that enables the entry and exit of car independently. The second is the appreciation of aesthetic qualities of bamboo, which suggests a strong association with Chinese culture. If far from the subject, modulation of bamboo parts of the central volume produces a homogeneous effect, inside the building, the observer's approach reveals the uniqueness and irregularity of the material. The resulting semi-permeable surface allows the contemplation of the surroundings, creates light effects, and generates a natural cross-ventilation, associating in a harmonic way and formal principles and sustainability. Other strategies for sustainable building design are present in the use of : green roof cover type, high performance glass, architectural elements that provide sun protection (ramps, roof projection); photovoltaic power generation (panels installed on the roof), intelligent elevator system, LED lighting with presence detectors, separation of oil and water, sewage treatment plant, reuse of rainwater, recyclable garbage separation system.
