Planned land faces the 588 dong and is an eastern fruit and vegetables market. It was only utilized as market in the past but Dongdaemun-gu is planning to change the city facility plan to freely develop it to utilize it for variety of functions such as sales, residency, exhibition, and business. It also contains programs which is naturally absorbed without opposing the big flow of environment like Dongdaemoon-gu new town and balanced and facilitate district, such as Chongnyangni balanced developing facilitate district, Jeonnong Dapsimri Newtown, Yimoonhwuigyeong town. Chungnyangni which has been known as a prostitute quarters within Korea after the independence is in the starting point for new beginning with the balance development facilitate district. We agree with the establishment of medical silver town by the government to change the prior image of prostitute quarters, but this is not enough to change the shallow and fallen place 180˚. Instead of prior silver town which stops at the physical treatment of the silver generation, we planned for emotional treatment by grafting art. Also, the way tree grows out of the ground towards the sky and the principal of segments became the motive of design and structure of the restoration and circulation of landmark. The city created by the needs of the people has been rising while forgetting the original meaning. Now human needs to be saved from this danger. The city will then be born again.
