Principles

With the premise of conceiving architecture as a service to society, oriented towards the well-being of people, always respecting the environment, but not forgetting the final aesthetics, as a means of expression, once the functional and technical needs were met, the project of the Center of Health and Welfare was born, a building that already belongs to the local associations derived from health.

Building Program

In the design of the functional programme of the building, great consideration was given to the nature of the partnerships linked to the field of health, shaping an environment that responds to their needs with sensitivity and effectiveness.

As the epicenter of the whole, the conference room is erected, an enabling environment for symposia and congresses that foster the exchange of ideas and innovation in the field of health.

The following are the cabinets, discreet and functional spaces where medical professionals can conduct private consultations.

Extending this network of knowledge, we find the training classes, where courses and programmes are given aimed at strengthening the skills and knowledge of health professionals, complemented by the spaces dedicated to the partnerships, where health professionals meet to exchange experiences and collaborate on joint projects.

Therapeutic outdoor areas

In the design of the building, the creation of an intimate and enveloping space that could serve as a shelter for those who dedicate their daily efforts to the noble task of caring for the mental and physical health of others was considered. Thus was born the idea of integrating an inner courtyard, an oasis in the middle of the urban bustle, where the users of the building, associations dedicated to well-being and health, could find a remnant of peace and renewal.

The courtyard emerges as an embrace of the building, a tangible metaphor of the work carried out by health associations, who, like this space, welcome and contain those seeking help.

It was conceived as a functional and therapeutic space, guided by the premise that the physical environment directly influences emotional well-being, and therefore, the courtyard is erected as a catalyst for healing and self-care.

Materiality

Finally, acting as the soul of the project, the ceramic zeal is arranged, which not only divides the interior spaces in an aesthetic way, but also fulfils a practical and symbolic function. By allowing the circulation of air and natural light, the jellyfish creates a healthy and welcoming indoor environment that promotes the well-being of users.

Thus, it is not only a manifestation of our commitment to sustainability, but it also plays a fundamental role in the function and purpose of the building, as it provides a physically and emotionally favourable environment, creating an interior gallery as an avant-garde to indoor spaces where these professionals can find inspiration and motivation to advance in their vital work.

Sustainability

In addition to an innovative and sustainable architectural solution, it plays a crucial role in creating an enabling environment for research and advancement in the field of health. Your presence at the “Health and Welfare Centre” reflects our commitment not only to environmental sustainability, but also to the well-being and progress of the community we serve.

In short, the “Health and Welfare Centre” is not only an innovative architectural project, but also a testimony to our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
