In its early days, the dwelling housed painters, including the renowned Paul Cezanne during a six-month period. Currently owned by the third generation, the vision was to craft a space where guests could immerse themselves throughout the day, leading to the aptly named "Youm," signifying "day."

Hailing from Tunisia, the owner, an engineer who collaborated with luxury brands in Paris for the past decade, joined forces with her husband, a half-Italian, half-French individual with a background in the restaurant industry. Their long-standing dream of establishing a high-end hotel or guesthouse found fruition after the challenges posed by Covid-19. Seizing the opportunity, the couple, with one already residing in Marseille, decided to open Casa Youm.

Amidst Marseille's predominantly large hotels, the couple aimed to create a more intimate setting, fostering a tranquil pool experience with fewer crowds. Drawing inspiration from Tunisia and Italy, the property exudes a Mediterranean ambiance, prompting guests to liken the atmosphere to that of Ibiza or Spain. Infused with an Andalusian aesthetic, Casa Youm offers a serene environment with various spots for relaxation, reading, and unwinding.

Situated in a peaceful enclave of Marseille, once a haven for artists, the area has transformed. Previously overlooked by locals due to a scarcity of restaurants and cafes, it has now become a retreat for those seeking respite from the city's noise. Despite its proximity to Marseille, the location offers a quiet haven, providing guests with a sense of distance from the urban hustle, creating an illusion of being far removed from the city's clamor.
