Casa JB | Imarte Atelier

Located in an ordinary building in a peripheral area of the historic city of Vila Franca de Xira, the apartment has large spaces and plenty of natural light on both fronts facing the facade.

The project aimed at the rehabilitation of the various spaces, respecting their identity and always keeping in mind the path of sustainability. Whenever possible, elements in good condition were preserved and only those that were not functional or in accordance with current living standards were updated.

Thus, the kitchen and the bathroom were completely renovated, including coatings, furniture and equipment. In the living room and bedroom, the flooring and built-in wardrobes were maintained, replacing only the dark wood tone with a peaceful and clean white.

In the wet areas, the chosen tones were a combination of gray and white in a revivalist style that respects the era of the solutions that were maintained, but modernizes the apartment.
