Casa DM was designed for a young married and energetic couple.

While being located very closely to the city centro of Catanzaro Lido, it is a rare private villa that allows the house to be surronded by a garden and many trees of oranges on which the kitchen windows was carefully placed to allow the passing of the seasons be available during all year.

The design process started with the will to have a cozy yet sophisticated feeling in which kitchen would have played a major role but without it being the sole sharing place of the living area. This research and will turned into canaletto walnut veneered wall panelling that welcome the couple and their guest. It's contrast with light wooden floor increased it's broken with a brass metal trim that virtually divides the living and dining area to the kitchen.

Three doors hides in the wall unit, two for the entrance wardrobe and one that leads to the guest shower room and studio room, allowing potential guests to have their own space and privacy, but allowing the owners to enjoy the living area.

On the turn, the walnut panel turns into kitchen allocating a built-in fridge, a 110cm wide storage wardrobe and a column with oven. In the center of it a big unconventional island, covered in Purple Capraia Marble with 45 degree down to the floor. Along the wall where a window below the cabinets and above the kitchen bases develops. On the right a 2.5m sliding doors windows is facing the garden and back of the house (still on going).

A Porto Oro Marble staircase steps leads upstaris to the night area where two shower rooms, one of which ensuite, kids bedroom and master bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe.
