8 steps to steam-bend a single oak veneered plywood panel. No screws, nails, glue. Finished with natural wax. Designed for sustainability and respect for planet earth.
This is a project born for fun: there is a sort of competition among designers as to who produces original seats with only four elements to assemble, three or even two.
I tried to imagine a seat produced from a single element of steam-curved plywood in eight successive steps.
At the same time looking for ergonomic features for the slightly curved back and seat.
The title goes without saying, but interesting is the total absence of any hardware or joints: it stands and supports itself.
