Casa Gotarrendura is developed within an ecological residential complex, surrounded by more than 1200 hectares of forest. The single-family house project is based on the premise of fully respecting the existing vegetation, making it part of the project and a crucial element throughout the entire house.
Exterior-wise, the house is characterized by a game between volumes and materials, where regional travertine marble harmonizes perfectly with the neutral and sober tones, while wood and steel bring contrast and emphasize key elements such as the entrance vestibule or the terraces on the upper floor.
The project develops around a central patio, originated by an existing tree and conceived as a contemplative and relaxing space, serving a double role as a connecting and/or separating element throughout the ground floor. The architectural program unfolds around it, guiding the journey through the entrance hall, kitchen, dining, and living room, on to a TV-bar room on the other side, all provided with natural light and ventilation thanks to this central patio.
The upper floor holds the private spaces of the house, intended for bedrooms and a private gym. On this floor, the views towards the central patio are minimized for two reasons. The first is to take advantage of the natural context of the complex, emphasizing the views of the surroundings through large balconies in each of the rooms. The second is to provide privacy to the dressing room and master bathroom which opens towards the central patio, taking advantage of the view of the tree canopy, creating a completely different atmosphere of relaxation where you feel surrounded by tranquility and nature.
Casa Gotarrendura represents balance between formal and material simplicity, designed to provide an unparalleled connection with nature.

Casa Gotarrendura se desarrolla dentro de un complejo residencial ecológico, rodeado de más de 1200 hectáreas de bosque. El proyecto de casa unifamiliar se desarrolla bajo la premisa de respetar en su totalidad la vegetación existente, integrándose en los recorridos y volviéndose protagonista en cada uno de los espacios.
Desde la fachada, la casa se caracteriza por un juego de volúmenes y materiales, donde el mármol travertino de la región armoniza con los tonos neutros y sobrios, mientras la madera y el acero contrastan y enfatizan elementos claves como el vestíbulo de acceso o las terrazas en la planta alta.
El proyecto gira en torno a un jardín central, originado por un árbol existente y pensado como un espacio contemplativo y relajante, que sirve doblemente como elemento de conexión y/o separación en toda la planta baja. El programa se desarrolla a su alrededor, guiando el recorrido desde el vestíbulo de acceso, cocina, comedor y estancia, hasta una sala de tele-bar al otro lado, todos iluminados y ventilados gracias a este vano central.
La planta alta alberga los espacios privados de la casa, destinada para las habitaciones y un gimnasio. Aquí las vistas hacía el patio central se minimizan por dos razones, la primera es aprovechar el contexto natural del complejo y así se acentúan las vistas hacia los alrededores a través de amplios balcones en cada una de las habitaciones. La segunda, brindar privacidad al vestidor y baño principal que se abren hacía el jardín central aprovechando la vista de la copa del árbol, generando una atmósfera de relajación completamente diferente donde te sientes rodeado de tranquilidad y naturaleza.
Casa Gotarrendura es simplicidad formal y material, diseñada para brindar una conexión inigualable con la naturaleza.
